This was on the vehicle from the previous owner. looks like they've scrapped against something and used a touch up pen to tart it up a bit.
How would you go about repainting ? Sure it is with in the scope of the DIY'er

first thing do you know how to remove the mirror cover by sliding a flat head screwdriver past the glass in the hole and it will pop off new vehicle purchase

Then follow this thread, it's the same process, you may need a skim of plastic filler if the chips/scratches don't sand out...

If it all goes wrong you can always drop it off at a refinishers and get them to do it, but worth a go yourself first....
