Garage door opening

Hi, guys when I had a 2011 se it had buttons on the rearview mirror to sync the garage door/gate opening, my 2012 ab has no buttons on the rearview mirror, can it be done another way?

keep a remote in the glovebox ..

you'll find that recent garage doors/gates are not supported by the antiquated jlr system supplied in those years.. ... - .- -.

If it is the type that can be opened by the RR system Homelink it is very easy to swap the mirror over. I think you can find out whether yours is compatible. I found out after I switched that my gate system isn’t ! It depends on what system you have and how old.
