Poor DAB and TV signal

Hi guys just took the plunge and bought a L405 love the car just a few niggles any ideas why the DAB and TV signals are so poor I experienced this on my previous L322 but just put it down older tech didn't think I would experience it with newer tech on this car. Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 SDV8 SVO Stying Pack

Can be affected by whole manner of things. Most static building aerials are pointed directly at transmitter with gain built into their design. Your vehicle doesn’t point direct so has to fight against that, which may include that the car itself stands inbetween the aerial and the mast blocking the signal.

Then you’ve also got all the other things running in the car which give off a ton of EMI and are rarely shielded properly. In tank fuel pumps are a common source of interference which sit near to the aerial.

I’m amazed we get a picture at all sometimes ! V8 or else ...

Agree, it's very hit and miss but considering the size of the antenna, particularly for TV it's amazing it works at all. Also, the nature of any digital transmission (DAB or FreeView) is that it's either there or it isn't which can make it appear even worse as at least with analogue it may not appear to drop in or out as much.

I find DAB L405 reception to be better than my old D4, it draws in a signal further into Snowdonia before losing it when off the beaten track. I don't really use TV much but again, I can be parked up in a town somewhere in the Peak District and get nothing, yet can be parked up somewhere in North Wales and get everything.

I had a 4hr drive to the west of the Lakes last Thursday, my passenger watched BBC News (with the emerging news of HMQ) most of the way up the M6 without hardly any interruption which was pretty impressive. In fact, we had TV on dual screen for the passenger, audio playing talk radio for a more varied content than the rolling news, and the map moved onto the driver's dash screen for me! That was pretty cool. Cool FFRR SDV8 Autobiography
