Free lying electric connector

Did my rocker covers on my M62 4.4V8 and found this connector down on the drivers side of engine bay.

Car runs as well as it did before the gasket change so presume it is a redundant connector ( a bit like the FBH on the passenger side). I’ve pulled up towards the dipstick.
