Replacing AGM main battery - Updating the Vehicle?

I’ve decided to replace the main battery in my L405 5.0 SC, as I’m getting low battery warnings when not used for a few days and it still has the original 2015 battery fitted, so likely time for a new one for peace of mind / not getting stranded.

Is it possible to do the vehicle update to flag the new battery using the IID tool, or is this only something a dealer / specialist can do? if I fit the battery without updating (or at least delay it until convenient) what’s the impact of driving the vehicle in the meantime?

Yes the IID tool has the battery replacement in one of the menus

I used to have battery low warnings regularly. The car always started fine however. I replaced both batteries in my SDV8 and performed the reset with the IID. I haven't had a warning since Thumbs Up Kev

I never have a low battery warning but in 8000 miles has the stop start worked!
