Hi All,

My 2017 3.0 TDV6 is going in for a service tomorrow. It has basically done 90k miles now and LR has stated it needs the cam belts done and has applied the 7 year 112,000 service schedule. As my car isn’t 7 ears old I’m assuming the mileage in relation to the next service means the belts need to be changed now? Also i have heard that it is worth getting the auto transmission oil changed at the same time? It is still on the original oil.

Grateful for any thoughts/advice…the cost is eye watering but I’ve had my car from new so don’t begrudge keeping it well maintained. 2017 Range Rover Vogue V6 Diesel

i'm in the same boat and mines being done on friday..my 16my has only done 75k miles but is due for the 84 month service.

the fuel pump drive belt and the timing belt and also the labour time for fitting those puts the cost up dramatically..

the LR dealers do this service for £1250 and indys around the £1k mark..

i have LR warranty so i need to have this done unfortunately.. ... - .- -.

not at this time...i'd like to get it changed but funds are not available for that at the moment,

mine is coming up to years old so due the 112k
just been quoted £1950 !!! at Jardine motors Slough
after questioning the price got it down to £1650
the lady said if I could prove the cost are the figure you talk about £1250 at a dealer land rover, they would honour the lower figure
guess I need to get on the phone for alternative quotes various other LR's this one is still the best

If they can instantly drop the price by £300 and possibly £700 then I would be looking somewhere else to get it done. Being able to drop the price by a potential £700 smacks of a rip off to me.

£1950 is the regular cost....the £1250 is the fixed "over three years old vehicle" cost...

found the LR 3+years servicing plan scheme - I assume that's the one you mentioned
price for next 3 years of servicing £2,274 ( which quotes £1,250 for the 7 years service)
I believe I can still use my nearest LR dealer (Jardine)
