Diesel availability and pricing

Am seeing the spread in price difference of diesel over petrol steadily increasing
Yesterday at a garage in Twickenham it was near 30p

Is there any reason for this?
Is diesel availability constrained due to a lack of distillate import from Russia?

Yes it’s a Russian issue,
A general tightness in the diesel market expected over the winter. Might still go down as well as up depending on oil prices, I suspect the differential will remain.

Its just that a lot of diesel was produced in the old eastern refineries geared up for Russian oil. Takes a couple of years to switch over. In the meantime I believe eu/we are buying in more from India , who uses Russian oil! !

France still subsidising petrol and diesel, that will end this month, unless Macron gets cold feet about the rampaging yellow jerseys, that may knock back EU demand a fraction. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

I've bought 2x 20L Jerry cans to store some in case of shortages. That's not even 1/2 a tank so may buy 2 more........ 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

That’s why this suddenly appears useful for £7,000

Won’t pull a trailer or get you into London, but gets you to Tesco’s! I suppose home delivery is cheaper.
