They could have sold a few of those alright, looks great!

Very XJ Mk1 from the waistline up except for the very rear quarter window. The rest looks E type - not a bad idea at all, though not sure you'd get both the golf clubs and swag bags of bank notes in the boot though Very Happy Very Happy 1992 RR Classic 3.9 efi Vogue

Timelessly elegant, something most manufacturers seem to have forgotten in the chase of tech, fashion and chintz.

Just fantastic … Jaguars have always been my first love… just a bit low for me now! Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

With you on that one Bill, especially XJ's - you seem to fall into them and sit so low. We had an XJ8 for a while, fantastic car, but I always felt like a modern medium sized SUV would drive right over the top of it though! Shocked

Would love another Jag though, I think the XFR-S Sportbrake might be on the cards one day! I still haven't joined the 500+ BHP club! Very Happy

France 2007 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

don't know if anyone noticed, but it was a 2 door, if you realise this was the MK2 and the MK10 period, this was pretty advanced in lines but stil based on both of these technically.

I had a courtesy Jaguar track day thanks to a dealer from the north & not lookers of chelmsford who seems can’t be bothered to cross the road if I were on fire!

Anyway stunning day out breakfast and lunch with car driving in between . One to one with a go faster specialist driver. Took a number of cars out , iPace to the F type.
The skid pad was great fun and illuminating. When they switch off all the gizmoes that control the car , it’s impossible for me to do anything other than go around in decreasingly small circles.
Best bit was the F type 500+ HP , Just cruises even with the foot hard down. Regrettably I’m a FFRR driver, see a corner and ease off the accelerator & avoiding brakes… thus my top speed was only 135mph. Now my wife, being a girl racer in her BMW , hits the brakes into the corner & probably broke all speed records ! She said actually gentle braking and it wafted around the bends. Top speed for the car 190 mph+

Lots of similarities with the FFRR including buttons as well as engine ranges.

Lots of go faster noise in the smaller cars for no reason . @ 40mph!

The guys doing the event are in Scotland around now if anyone lives up there and can get access via their dealer. Great day out.

Finally …. If anyone is rich & young enough, I expect the F type if bought and put away in cotton wool , will be a collectors car. Jaguar will not be making anymore ICE cars after this year. I’m not going to do so because I will probably be ga ga within ten years and therefore no real point!!!! IMHO a real opportunity . Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits.
