I do 20k miles a year - the Pirelli’s probably work out cheaper in the long run. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

There's a few threads here comparing Scorpions to other tyres.

I asked the same question and it came down to scorpion Verde or zero if you did mainly road use and let the 4x4 system get you through any occasional off road situation or the AT3 if you genuinely need regular off road capability and are prepared to accept compromised handling and emergency wet braking on the road. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Tyres with OE markings have them for a reason, if you want a tyre that is better matched to your vehicle (whatever it is)then choose from the available range that, in this case, is marked LR on the sidewall. They will always perform better than the generic equivalent of the same size and rating from the same manufacturer. Sometimes you pay a bit more, but not always.

There are tyres with Landrover marked on the sidewall ?

Every day is a school day, I’ve never heard that before - nor seen any. Maybe I just missed it….. is it a clear marking or something minor and hidden away ?

It's just uppercase LR not a logo
There's quite a few,
AO / AOE / RO1 = Audi
MO / MOE / MO1 = Mercedes
VOL = Volvo
MGT = Maserati
AM = Aston Martin

Are some that spring to mind

Wow - I knew a few sportier cars had manufacturer specific tyres, but didn't realise that Landrover did it too. I must check mine, though I doubt it as I just bought generic Continentals in the right size.....

Well, I've partially satisfied my curiosity, but unfortunately there are no markings on Winter tyres (last line of the Owner Info so I'll have to wait until spring to check my others Smile

I guess the approved manufacturers must add the marking to all their tyres of the relevant sizes as there seems no option to buy specific LR versions on the sites I looked at - or is there somewhere specific to look ?

There is an explicit list of approved winter tyres, I've never been able to find an equivalent for summer / all seasons though.

I must get a life - I don't even need new tyres.....

Camskill, Tyremen and a few others offer OE tyres - I bought some recently for £187 each, they're nowhere near needing replacement but the same tyres are now just over the £200 mark so I've saved a few quid in inflation.
Beware of 'tyreleader' and other aggregators, you don't always get the OE tyres despite them being sold as such and they can be old stock, sometimes 2.5 years old.
