LR022896 OIL FILTER

Hi everyone

The oil filter for my 2012 V8TD uses the above but when it comes to a Manufactures references the item appears to have different sizes? Some that appear would fit seem to advise on the web site offerings as " will not fit this car"?

Any ideas

Thanks Dave

Lots of dodgy and fake filters out there...

I'd buy a genuine one from a dealer... anything else is Russian Roulette....

Get one from Robin at Duckworths, one of our site sponsors, a good discount, free delivery and it will fit... Thumbs Up

Oil filter

Thanks Haylands

I've got one from Bearmach and another boxed as Britpart and both supplied as LR 022896 part. However although they differ the dimensions are very similar. The RR has the Ford diesel motor and I couldn't remember now what I fitted last year, but I'm sure I ordered it as the JLR part and it looked like the Britpart stye.

I suppose I could fit ether but good to Know the correct manufacturers and their part numbers, you can't even go by price as anything from £8 to £25 or more!

Onwards and upwards.

Dave

It's your engine... personally both of those would go in the bin if it was mine....

Just because they quote a part number it doesn't mean they are any good..... Thumbs Up Pete

Oil Filter

No doubt your right. I’m not doing an oil change yet at only 4700 miles this year but temped to change one of n filters now until a 6000 /7000 mile point. It’s the Land Rover filter supplier reference I’m after if I can get it.

Cheers
