United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV6 Barolo Black
Soft close on L405

Hello

I'm new to the forum having just bought a 2018 Vogue SE.

I have noticed that the front left hand door (UK car) does not soft close. If I push the door to the first latch I can hear the motor for the soft close but nothing moves. The door can be closed manually and stays closed / locked.

I have done a bit of digging on the internet and have found a replacement cog for the soft close motor / gearbox which appears to pull a cable. Is this the part I need to fix my problem and has anyone fitted one - I'm assuming it is quite involved.

Many thanks, Simon.

Thanks Stan

The symptoms of my door are a little different. The motor starts when it should (first latch) but does not move the door. If I push the door or use the handle it makes no difference. It is as though the motor is disconnected from the mechanical operation of the door but it functions electrically.
