Power bank recommendations

With my L405 being picked up hopefully this week, I am getting myself sorted to try and keep it on the road as much as possible. The battery was flat as **** when I saw the car in the dealers and they said they would attempt to give it CPR, if unsuccessful, they'd fit a new battery. I'm anticipating that they will try it on and leave the old battery on so, again, I'm anticipating that it will be a bit poorly afterwards and more likely top fail, leaving me stranded.

I'm looking for recommendations for a power bank so that if/when the battery dies, I can get started and mobile.

I'm thinking of something like the Noco GB70 https://no.co/gb70 but is there something better or just better value out there?

Thanks

I bought a Noco soon after getting my L322 as I had heard so many stories about non starters from flat batteries and phantom battery drains. Once I replaced the battery I've never used it apart from starting other people's cars.

Go for a GBX if you're going to go NOCO.

Faster charging, USB C instead of horrible Micro USB.

A GBX55 is more than adequate for 98% of vehicles you'll come across. Easily starts my 4.4V8 petrol BMW, 3.0V6 diesel motorhome, and I've started several big diesels up to 4.0L and up to a 5.7L Hemi petrol with mine as well. It punches well above its weight and barely breaks a sweat on anything I've thrown at it. I'm 100% confident it'll start any RR you need it to.

About £185 on Amazon - I'm not sponsored by NOCO.

I bought a GBX75 - as above, way better than the earlier/cheaper versions - it was on offer on Amazon for £199 (think it was a mis-price), I've never had to use it on my own car but it will start other large engined vehicles quite happily. Note that the rating is for a fully charged pack, I went for the next one up to guard against having a less than fully charged one, should I need to use it.

Dunno TBH - I've never done that as batteries, Lithium or otherwise, only have a limited number of charge/discharge cycles in them. Lithium batteries in particular don't like to be constantly topped up to 100%,

They can be left plugged in but it's not recommended, and tbh I don't find mine discharges much. Tend to plug it in to charge every couple of weeks when I clean the inside of the car out.

I have a GB70, it was a god send on the old L322 which seemed to require a new battery every 2 years.

The slow charging is a pain, but I just leave it on over night. It’s started the L322 multiple times on a single charge with ease. Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
Previously George a 2007 MY07 Java Black VSE 3.6 TDV8
Previously a 04 MY04 Defender 90 Sad
