Help guys l322 4.4 tdv8 poorly

Hi everyone
Love some advice
About week a go i had red dpf full visit dealer…then went into limp mode
So i called a mobile dpf guy to sort it
When he arrived first thing he did was plug in
This what came up
P2463-00 permanent-Dpf restriction soot accumulation bank 1
P040D-00 permanent-EGR temperature sensor A circuit high
He then said it wont let me regen the Dpf cos of the Egr fault
So of he went
Yesterday nipped to local garage he had advised to delete the
Dpf and delete the Egr for a price of £700
What you guys think

My old Independent garage was always adamant that the PO 40 D EGR fault prevents DPF forced regens, but I can assure you that it Doesn’t.

Mine has has the EGR PO 40 D alarm showing ever since I bought my Gap iid at least 6 years ago and I have performed several Forced regenerations ever since the facility was added.

Just this week I have forced it to reduce the soot level from 18 .6 to 2.74g.

Mike.

Why did you need to do a forced regen at 18.6g? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Because I am a sad old man who doesn’t get out much in winter Rolling with laughter
My last months usage has not seen a single journey long enough to initiate a natural Active regen , but several passive regens have kept it just below the 19.2g trigger level .
