Stability and HDC not working

This morning got message that HDC and stability control where not available. Started the car and started driving, but the servo assisted brakes are not working. Had to step really hard on the brake pedal to make the car stop - really scaring! Phoned the dealer who told me to call LR assistance. Apparently a defect in the high voltage battery. Done only 20000 miles - not reassuring!
