2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black
£250k SV Bespoke Lansdowne Edition

Anybody else seen this?

https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/land-rover/r...?amp

Struggling to see the justification for the price difference above the already punchy SV pricing?? Different colour paints, wheels and leather justify an £80k price difference over a well specced P530 SV??

If they do want to go after Mulliner, they’re going to need to try harder.

"The new “boutique” as Land Rover likes to call it, will be designed to help the firm transition from direct sales to an agency model by 2024 - meaning customers will deal with Jaguar Land Rover directly, instead of through dealerships."

Interesting to learn what this means for their existing dealerships that invested millions in keeping up with LR branding and LR experience look & feel. RR's that are part of my car timeline since I bought my first RR Classic in 1999:

Another special edition with all the kit for a few special queue jumpers while many of us wait 18 months (and counting) to get a car at an unknown price and specification. Nice one JLR. Rolling Eyes

The transfer to agency is not good news for us customers either. Dealers have no ability to offer discounts/incentives unless permitted by JLR. This is essentially the Tesla model.

More money than sense comes to mind.

All the car companies are heading towards the direct sale business model.

Mate of mine , a long standing RR customer , waiting for an SV , is beginning to question the price difference…. Doesn’t see the real value. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...
