So this just happened to me on MY2012 4.4TDV8.
cruising at 50mph on highway around Bordeaux (expecting to regenerate my DPF), I'm using my adaptive cruise control.

there is a sudden traffic stop and I have to brake quite urgently --> immediate red performance restriction alarm !

I exit the highway and park in a quiet parking, plug the IID tool : here 's what I have

Most if not all those faults are 'spurious' i.e always thrown up on every fault scan and don't relate to actual issues. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Just a thought, are you sure it wasn’t a forward alert warning ?
They can be quite “alarming” when they are activated.

I don't think so.
It was the "restricted performance" red triangle of doom all right ! No further explanations.

Having had the same for my faulty EGR (before I changed it), I've seen it before

The fact that it left no trace in the IID tool AND that it disapeared all by itself is puzzling
Apparently it's a first allright...

I had my suspicions, given the circumstances: adaptive CC on, brutal braking inducing abrupt release of CC, all of that leading to a "faulty sense of inadequacy" of my poor "speed control module"
I could test this theory...
I don't know if I want to make it happen again though
