My new L405

Hi all,

Thought I'd drop a quick post in here with some pictures of my 'new to me' 16MY Loire Blue L405 SDV8 Autobiography.

I decided after owning 3 L322's (3.6 Westminster, 3.6 facelift AB and a 4.4 facelift AB) it was time to move up to an L405 having driven a couple and feeling they were a good upgrade.

Spec wise the car has an Ivory/Ebony interior including grand Black lacquer veneer.

I have a few bits on order but all I have done so far since purchase is replace the Black with center caps with new Silver LR items.

More updates to come...

I don't usually like dark colours but that looks very nice!

Congratulations, it looks great. I parked next to one almost identical to yours (but with a silver roof) at the supermarket this evening and thought my self the blue looked nice and the two FF next to each other looked good. First time FFRR owner

Thank you both, I'm chuffed with it.

Arch, I saw quite a few advertised with the silver roof and I couldn't decide if I like it or not. Each to their own I suppose!

when I was looking for one, there was a loire blue as Marianawestminster's but with silver side vents, light interior and it looked fantastic in the sun. Very classy. Sadly it was a few grand more than I wanted to spend First time FFRR owner

Thanks Jez,

My old Westminster was Mariana Black with a cream interior like your friends. (Hence the username Laughing)

Agreed Arch, Blue and cream is one of those classic Range Rover colour combinations.

So I forgot one other thing I've done since purchase. Nothing fancy but I replaced the wiper blades on Monday with new items.

Much less smeary than the previous blades Thumbs Up

New Black/Silver badges for the front grille and boot have just arrived so they will go on shortly. As has touchup paint for the bodywork and the wheels (to tide me over until I eventually have them fully refurbished)

Good job. BTW I replaced all of the wheel nuts (apart from the locking ones) about 6 months ago as the old ones were suffering from that well-known ‘nut swelling’!
