Can anyone help in sourcing a very good or new tail gate .
I have the dredded rust starting on the bottom edge on a 2010 baltic blue l322.
Ideally I would like a good condition painted in my colour if possible.
If not I'm happy to start a fresh with new and seal it going forward and getting painted.
Any help appreciated

A new one is £1,100 +VAT...

The early ones were made of much better steel and didn't rust much, you just have to find one...

AFAIK Baltic blue was from 2009/10 onwards so you are unlikely to get one the right colour...  Pete

hi thanks for getting back to me .
ive only had 2 range rovers 1 being a 52 plate with the Rust and this 2010 with the starts of rust . bit annoying to say the least.
i wont be selling the car so dont mind doing the job but if anyone has a complete tail gate in Baltic blue with glass in decent condition that would be a better option . and making sure it dont rust .

as im using the car every day i would need to get the Glass / new Tail gate and to get it ready to fit and obviously the more costly . £1000 is a bit steep for what it is

I bought one from a breaker selling on fleabay, cost £200, I stripped and treated it myself, painting cost £120 and a new tailgate glass was £160 - strictly it didn't need it but I wanted privacy glass without a film. Bear in mind that the glass needs to be removed so the harness can be stripped out and fitted. Changing the tailgate over including glass, harness, trim etc. took ~3 hours.
