Small Knock or thud, Low throttle turning left - Ideas?

Hi all been chasing down a problem in my 2017 L405 SDV8 for awhile now with my indie specialist.

Initial diagnosis was the transfer case.

- Firstly they did a flush of the transfer case which didnt appear to make a difference

- After that did a double flush of the transfer case and software update (which I have read about a lot on this forum) which made little difference to

- Thirdly have just replaced the transfer case which seemed to remove the judder on light accelaration from stop or slow speed but there remains a light thud or knock that appears intermittantly low throttle turning left.

Speaking to them last week they are now going to remove the rear axle and diff to see if they can find anything. They have been able to replicate the issue and established its not the fuel in the tank slapping.

Anyway car is with them to do some further discovery, but wondered if anyone had an ideas of checks that could be done or had experienced this issue as well and could input.

Other than that the car is awesome Very Happy

Canada 2013 Range Rover 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black

Sway bar bushing
Sway bar end links
Engine mounts

These three things removed the knocks and thud I was having. Try a full throttle run from a dead stop in first gear. If there is a loud bang, it’s an engine mount. If not, likely the sway bar bush/end links. Dan. 🇨🇦 2013 L405 5.0 SCV8

Thanks Guys for the thoughts. Just spoke to my indie and they said they have gone thru everything. I previously had the rear diff oil changed out previously along with front and transmission to make sure eveything in the drivetrain was good.

They said my car had a locking rear diff (I thought they all did) so was a bit rarer and they replaced the oil again with another spec. Anyway they are thinking its looking good now. Pick it up tomorrow so cross fingers. 2017 L405 Vogue SDV8 AB

I have the same issue currently, was trying to work out what it was, seems to be when slowing down at a rounderbout or car park then driving off again, def doesnt do it full throttle, like a clonk like a gear or bushing issue, but no idea what!

going to take mine to main dealer to be checked as under approved used warrenty

The change of the rear diff oil to exact LR spec seems to of fixed the issue and I havent had any issues since picking mine up. Hope yours gets fixed ok. Interested to see what your dealer says. 2017 L405 Vogue SDV8 AB

I still have the same problem, I never believed it was fuel sloshing.

I booked the car into another JLR garage when booking was advised to call LR assist to check if there was anything that could be seen.
Well, it was the AA that came out ( which was the default LR assist ) I took him for a drive and repeated the clonk, The patrol man sat in the rear seat and put his hand on the floor between the front and rear seat that's where the clonk was coming from.
The patrolman went under the car and checked the centre doughnut on the prop shaft and found some dust around the area.
Which would suggest movement or wear? What I can't get my head around is that changing the oil in the transfer box will stop the clonk. has the wrong oil been used in the first place? The oil is only there as a lubricant it's not hydraulic oil which is under pressure.
If it's a clonk then something is out of specification or worn it feels more like a flex from a doughnut joint when under load.

It only seems to be on cars 2016/17 years could be wrong there. 2017 SDV8 4.4 silicon silver AB
