Cruise steering assist retrofit

Hi all,

New to the forum with a MY2019 P400e Autobiography.

Wondering if cruise steering assist can be enabled / retrofitted?
Am also missing the park assist feature; assuming they’re linked/come in package that I clearly don’t have.

First thing to check is if the radar itself is installed. If not, it must be purchased. If it is not there, check if the wiring loom exists in the front bumper. If not, it's not possible.

If the parts exist, there are companies that can do the CCF modifications required.

You can find out if you have the radar by inserting your hand in the lower part of the bumper and reaching upwards towards the grille. It's placed like in this picture (showing a Sport, but similar). It's hard, but at least doesn't require taking the bumper out...

Can I assume I have the radar if I have the adaptive cruise control?

Yes. Time to contact specialists like the one whose link I sent in private message. They helped activate CarPlay in mine.

Hi, I’m in the same boat. I have a MY 2014 with Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist and Parallel Park and I’d like to know my options for upgrading the steering portion to lane keep assist. Would you mind giving me the information?

Also interested in implementing Comma Ai/Open Pilot. My Honda Civic commuter drives itself.

If we have the necessary hardware for a new feature but just need software to be enabled, can we just do it with the IIDTool for example?

I’m looking at a fairly decent bill for all the bits I want enabled. 2025 P550e AB

I've just got a gap iid till and turned off auto stop/start (which in itself is worth the purchase price of the gap tool). I would like to add cruise steering assist, if possible.

I looked at Stan's linked thread but it talks about retro-fitting adaptive cruise control, which I already have (along with lane keep Assist, etc).

I've looked through the ccf file and searched for something with either cruise or steering or assist, but can't seem to find anything relevant.

Has anyone successfully done this?

Since you already have Lane Keep Assist, it might just be a matter of adjusting the settings. Does this video help? It demonstrates how to use Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist.

I did see that video earlier and those options aren't available on my screen. It might be region-dependant, but those things can often be added by messing with the CCF.

It could be that I just haven't yet found the correct setting to make it magically appear as an option on my screen. I'm a bit wary of turning on things if I don't know what they are.

You mean, you don’t have the steering assist options available in the menu, for LKA or LDW and only alert?
Normally those can indeed be enabled in the CCF.

I've got Lane Keep Assist (and LDW), but not the cruise steering assist or both options (as shown in this still from that youtube clip)

My wife's car has Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and the relevant options are available in her menu.

A good starting point for reviewing the CCF settings would be the GAP Diagnostic website:

https://www.gap-diagnostic.com/faq/

If you let me know which options are missing from your car’s menu, I could compare the two CCFs—hers and mine—as my car doesn’t have ACC (yet Wink).
