HI, All just watched the Overlanding 4WD video the guy is very honest about his problems with the issues he has with his car.
What a shame that he is at this stage after all the preventive maintenance he recommends doing.
Worth a watch you do feel for the guy.

Hope so too, it’s going back together now, which is a good sign, no more parts are coming off! it also needs rear subframe bushes, both have gone, age, and what I have put it through recently killed those off, and a MOT, as that ran out while it was there in Nov.

Might get it back next week, but chilled about when it comes back.

Much to do when it does come back, sort out my water heater / water pump box, get all that plumbed and plugged in.

18” rims should be next, finally noroadclubd https://noroadclub.com/collections/tuffant-kimberley-alloy-wheels
have a set of 18” rims that do fit over the 6 pot brembos, been confirmed, so no more 20’s off road, although I might just use the 18”s as play wheels and tyres and not every day, the coopers are better on road than BFG KO2’s, will see.

Bash plates are coming in the new year, front plate and engine guard, plus lower control arms bash plates too.

Much to do before the next trip, Strata Florida first, then May, back to Spain.

So glad to see you back on YouTube and the L322 seemingly in fine fettle. Long may both continue to be the case! 🙏

I’m super-interested in your endeavours with the TuffAnt wheels when you get them, due to the ET29 offset; so I think about 29mm further out per corner than the standard L322 alloys and 18mm more than your current L405 wheels. I trialled a set of 20mm spacers on mine with standard ET58 alloys with 265/50R20 tyres. I really liked the planted feel and cornering at speed was certainly improved. However, I got a weird phenomenon that meant I lost front traction really quickly on tight corners in the wet and that caused me to lose confidence on the faster stuff thinking it would let go without warning, so took them off again after a few thousand miles. It seemed to be due to scrub radius being significantly increased by the greater 20mm offset. Anyway yours will be even more so please do let us know how you get on as I’m minded to give my spacers another go over the summer.

Also, it would be really interesting to hear what’s going on with the underbody protection. After your unboxing of the ProSpeed guards and then later explanation about interfering with the DPF, I’m wondering if you’ve modified the ProSpeed guards or had a custom solution fabricated. I’m curious as I’m trying to work out if it’s worth buying ProSpeed to modify, or whether to not bother and start from scratch? Your thoughts are most welcome!

NOROADCLUB confirmed they don’t fit, actually, let me check that, they do, but the owner who did make them fit, shaved MM’s off the calipers to get them to fit. So, they might fit, but not without mods. So, no go.

The bash plates, well, they were loaned to Dirt Monkey, and well, let’s just say, he’s never replied!

The guy I got my rear exhaust box delete pipes from, Ian, has started to fab some, but, the DPF is an issue, so he has suggested to go see him and see what we can do. I just need to get up north, but that won’t happen for a few months.

It’s on the list, but probably a winter project
