Tyre pressure monitoring fault

2015 autobiography V8 diesel and getting tyre pressure monitoring fault warning on dash. For some time have had spare tyre pressure warning but always checked ok.
Suspect if will be faulty tyre pressure sensor in spare. Does a replacement sensor have to be coded in by Land Rover dealer?

No coding but I believe that they need activation when bought brand new (to prevent them going flat on the shelf)

I had the spare tyre warning come up and it would disappear after 30 secs or so.
I had the pressure of the spare tyre set at high load psi, simply dropped the psi for light load psi and never had a problem since. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue
