IID New Key Fob

Hi,

Can anyone confirm you can re code a second hand key fob with an IID tool?

Unfortunately my 4.4 tdv8 only came with one key.

Cheers

It might say Operation Failed but usually it's fine.
Plenty of YouTube videos on the procedures.
For example:

You don’t need to buy a second hand fob.
There are plenty of new ones on eBay for not much money at all.
Just make sure you get the correct one (correct MHz)

You need to make sure the tool has the right files, I had to contact GAP to get my device updated. Other than that, very simple.

I had a cheap (€15) key programmed as a 3rd spare. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster - Baltic Blue, Jet interior

1988 Vogue 3.5 EFI - Manual, gone.
2004 Volvo C70 2.0T convertible, had since new.
2007 Mazda MX-5 2.0 Sport Roadster/Coupé, had since new.
