EML light TCM Transmission 8 speed

Started car this morning without any issues, and ten minutes later got an EML light on the dash Sad

Using my GAP IID , it threw this error code up
TCM-Transmission 8spd P062F-04 (AF) Internal control module electrically erasable programmable read only memory error - General failure information - system internal failure

Searching on the forum - nothing posted on here before, then I googled and was very surprised to find very little about this code, could be nothing, could be battery related ( but I very much doubt it as new battery fitted in May )

Cannot clear the fault using IID , so I am a little bit nervous especially when it comes to auto boxes Smile

Anybody have some thoughts, the can runs well, the gearbox is pretty smooth and had a service 3 years ago ( need oils etc - nothing major just routine ) , I am pushing 200,000 miles on my car, but even so I am sure these excellent ZF8 gearboxes are built to withstand much higher mileages.

good news, I put my CTEK MX-5 on the battery over the weekend, used my GAP IID this morning to clear the error code, which it did for the first time, and the EML light has not come back on after 90 miles of driving today, so fingers crossed Smile
