Tdv8 L322 2012 no crank, no power to starter solenoid

I have a friends Range rover Vogue 2012 L322 TDV8 3.6L . I recently replaced the front Wiper Motor. The vehicle was perfectly fine. The car was not started for a few days and the battery died completely. Opening the doors was not possible as the lock mechanism on the passenger keyhole is not functioning. I tried to access the car by applying voltage to Left side indicator light wiring, hoping that the car might get enough juice to open the door with remote. It didn't work, the next thing I did was apply external battery voltage to the positive cable on the starter and finally managed to centrally unlock the vehicle.

After fitting a brand new 100aH battery, the car just fails to crank and the left indicator lamp is not functioning. When I switch on to Acc and apply power to the solenoid the car starts. The problem is the car is not starting from the ignition switch. I have my doubts on the starter relay but I don't know its location. Could someone please tell me where the starter relay is located in this car and if there is any other area I should check. I doubt the ignition start/stop button but I don't have a spare switch to test

I forgot to mention, once I started the car by applying external voltage to solenoid the brakes are low and hardly working. I suspect the brake light switch too but brake lights are working fine.

The starter relay is relay 6 in the engine bay main junction box, with power supplied by fuse 10 (40A) in the same junction box.

If you're referring to the side repeater lamp then it is powered by the door module on that side so the door module may have been damaged. I don't understand why you would think that applying voltage to an indicator lamp supply would get power to the battery.

BTW, the TDV8 in a 2012 L322 is the 4.4, not the 3.6.

Thanks for your guidance. As crazy as it sounds, I was desperate and watched two YouTube videos showing the guy get access to locked out Rangerover by supplying voltage to the repeater lamp. When I input the vin number in the parts catalog website it shows Tdv8 3.6 litre Lion. I am attaching the Junction box picture in the engine bay. Could u point out which relay it is please. I am not well versed in European cars. I know more of Jdm models. Thanks

Mine has an auxiliary fuse panel inside the main panel on the engine end so I wonder if the vehicle is 2012.
Mine's starter relay is the middle left in your picture. Mine's cover has a diagram of the fuses and relays and shows F6 and SM in a circle for that relay (SM=starter motor?).

Thanks. Yes this also has another smaller fuse box beside the bigger one. It doesn't show in the picture.

Does the VIN end with BA or CA followed by 6 digits or does it end with AA then 6 digits?

Today I swapped the starter relay and checked all fuses. Everything is OK except the car still won't crank when I press ignition switch. I have a Launch x431 and checked for any trouble codes. None are there except lost communication with ABS module in Srs system, Left puddle light signal error in Passenger door control module. There is absolutely nothing related to the starter.

Next I checked the data stream in the BCM. I noticed when I press ignition key there is no change in the data field Crank Request Signal and when I actuate the starter still there is no response. Could it be problem with the BCM? Please assist guys, this problem is giving me a headache

Are you able to confirm that the starter button isn't faulty? 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE

I don't have a spare button to test but when I read datastream it does register the the button clicks. Once when I switch on and when I depress Brake pedal and press it.

Just now I thought of going through the BCM module with my scanner. I went into actuation test and gave a crank request signal and voila! The car starts from the scanner but still won't start from pressing the ignition button.

The stop/start button has multiple contacts so one set may have failed.

AA in the VIN indicates model year 2010 which has the 3.6 TDV8 engine.

Most probably it's the 2010 model. My mistake. I'll just look for a replacement button and hope and pray it's the problem. I was crawling the web for the same problem and some people with similar problems suggest the car might have gone into lock mode as I tried to access the car by giving voltage to the starter. The funny thing is there are no trouble codes at all in the immo and key receiver module. Do u think I might need to hook it up into JLR Sdd software?
