2003 4.4 BMW engines’d L322 errors.

Hello all, I bought a run and drive project for my partner. Got a fair few problems.

1. Air suspension inactive

- I tried the full lock right then left trick. That cleared the ABS fault but the suspension remained inactive
- ICarsoft CR MAX couldn’t pull the vin or communicate with anything other than the 7.2 ECU…
- Bought a KDCAN lead for INPA, still won’t pull the vin or connect to the air suspension module as a e53 x5.

I’m a little lost. Car seems to be a ghost

Here is a link to it with ICarsoft: https://youtube.com/shorts/cC7qkzrkLFo?feature=share

Any and all help is absolutely appreciated..

Battery voltage above 12.6 at key on, engine off?

Do the LED's on the suspension control light up?

I've had the same problem when the battery voltage has gotten too low. As well, even if battery was charged enough if the key was switched too quickly after applying voltage I would see the same.

In my case, installing a new battery/connecting a charger and ensuring voltage was above 12.6 and letting the car sit and initialize for a few minutes prior to keying "on" allowed the communication to the suspension module through my diagnostic tool.

Also I was seeing a can bus error on the steering angle module when the air suspension module was offline.
