Vehicle speed sensor fault

Hi guys, today I need the help from some specialists among us.
Two weeks ago, I changed the right-hand front strut after an airbag leak.
Next day by driving off of my front yard the transmission acted weird, like having no clutch on a manual shift.
IIDTool gave me the “Vehicle speed sensor fault”. Disconnected the righthand ABS sensor and checked the contacts, looked all OK and fault message did not come on again.Fault gone; Transmission normal until the next day on the motorway, same symptoms but after a stop, ignition off and on again could drive away without troubles.
Now, two days ago again same situation but just before I came to a halt transmission engaged again and worked as it should.
Has anybody an idea what could cause this problem? Is it the ABS/Wheel speed sensor or could this be the beginning of a transmission dead?
