Starting issues

Morning all!
I have a 2011 TdV8 with approx 84k miles on the clock with keyless start.
For quite a while now it can take me 2 or 3 attempts to start the car.

If the key is in my pocket then sometimes it won’t start first time and then it might take another 2 attempts when I take the key out.

I have changed the battery and this makes no difference. It’s as if the car struggles to find the key at times.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

Thanks

The contacts in the solenoid on the starter motor become burnt due to inadequate wiring between the starter relay and the solenoid, initially requiring multiple start attempts but eventually the starter fails to run. Your description suggests this issue rather then something wrong with the key.

There should be a warning displayed when key is not found. If no warnings and no crank then probably something other than key problem.
