its well known that the scissor jack supplied with the range is pants so i'm thinking what are the alternatives ..

you have two options, plug the end into one of your exhausts and bung the other side up or, use a cheap air-compressor from asda for instance [£6]..the air compressor apparently keeps the air jack cleaner than the exhaust option.. |

I wouldn't use the exhaust as the back pressure could cause unforseen issues with sensors and cats and such forth. Cheap air pump is the better option. IIRC some Firecrews in some countries use these to help with access and such like.. |

@baben..the more i read ,the more i think its a bad idea...for off road use maybe but i cant see the benefits for day to day use.

Id probably go for this and an air compressor. Could imagine it popping though |

I would only recommend an airjack for Offroad and recovery use. On-road you have better options like a decent bottle jack with some means of interfacing with the vehicle |
