My lovely old 2004 Petrol V8 failed its MOT today, the tester said the rear subframe mounting areas are now too far gone, and needs replacing/welding etc

I don't want to scrap the old girl, I know I should, but part of me wants to keep her on the road, does anyone know who best to take it to, ideally within 100 miles of Hertford, but may drive further if somebody does this sort of thing on a regular basis and can do it in a day ??

There's a nice looking subframe on ebay for £149.99.

nice one Kevin, did not think of that, and they are not too far away from me either, so I will buy it from them and replace the corroded one, fingers crossed we can then get it through the MOT

is there a step by step wiki post/video of dropping the subframe for novices like me. thanks
