wanted ...air con condenser

just a shot in the dark but has anyone got an air con condenser for a 2005 td6 that works and they dont need...

Just had to replace mine too £178 + VAT Sad but air con working lovely now Smile .

thats about the average price joe...i found one at powerfuluk @ £150 inc but they are out of stock..next was ebay @ £175/180 inc...

i was hoping someone had one lying around.. Wink

did you do it yourself , any tips?

No, done by indie and his air con man, as the latter found the problem - leaking condenser ( I had no gas at all in the system ). Labour cost lost in with other labour for service and repairs so can't give a clear indication of that either.

Must dive into RAVE and see where it is and how it goes in and out Smile .

as it happens my boy is a mechanic and he found the leak with his ultra violet gun thingy but any tips would have been helpful, any one else have ideas?

Don't laugh now but i saw a new product recently in halfrauds designed to go through the ac condenser, locate and seal any leaks. Guess It's too good to be true but does anyone know anything about them?

the professionals i've spoken to seem to think that the leak stoppers are a waste of money ..like normal radiator leak stoppers the a/c ones are probably only a very temporary solution...

but seriously what a stupid place to put an a/c condenser, right in front of the normal rad where any stones will damage it ...mind you it protects the normal rad which probably costs more to replace...
