Just wondering who you are using for your insurance - been awhile since I've had to go to the general market as i work for well known uk insurance co, but we won't underwrite to FFRR due to it's history of being a theft magnet; hopefully that'll change with the security on the new models but not enough data yet

Also, does anyone know who makes the Secure Tracker Pro as can't find it listed on any of the sites I'm looking at...

Hi Trickster, I used Admiral, car parked on drive, no tracker 65 yrs old but minimal NCB due to being used up on other cars. 2022 D350 Autobiography cost me £250.00 fully comp on my multi car policy.

AndyS is getting a great deal. I'm with Admiral, 73 years young, full NCD, car in garage, no additional tracker at £484. And I thought that was good!!! Clearly, I'll need to haggle more next year.

I think there is room for JLR to do a deal with a preferred insurance company and supply parts at special prices.

Someone bought a new 460 from our dealer , got it home to find the insurance was£ 6,000!!!!
I would (want to) give the car back! Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

On renewal in London, my Direct Line premium went up 40%. Industry data implies 14% is the norm year on year. I shopped around and could not see an alternative that was less than 110% more! I even changed my Direct Line job description from this to that (a lower risk role according to industry data) and suddenly they would not provide a price. I had to take their renewal offer, which incidentally, was still lower than my first years premium with LV so I don't feel too bad. Still, £1400 is a lot for my age with full no claims, although I park on the street and I iive in North London N6, a fancy area but apparently high risk.NFU won't cover use city dwellers even though I'd actually pay a small premium to use such a great insurer.Quality of cover is also important. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Changing from a 460 to a 460 and my insurers are insisting on even more.
They now want a No Go immobiliser fitted.
The 460 has a whole new cat 5 system but the insurance industry fails to keep up and says they have a poor record on old land rover product.
I am insured with Chubb on a multi car policy that gives exceptionally good cover but they charge like a wounded rhino and are now being difficult.

Admiral are great and when I misfueled a car many years ago were truly excellent.
But
They dont do agreed value on classics or comprehensive on driving other cars. letters not necessarily in the right order

how do they get away with charging that...............

Mine started off with them at 3k. After a little chat it was down too £1200

I spoke to Adrian Flux also, and the more I haggled the more i got off, i got fed up in the end as I said to them they had knocked £1500 after I moaned about the price after moaning for 20mins, led me to believe they were chancing their arm, they then just wanted to sign me up. So i decided to stick with the NFU. Wise choice i think.

Did you tell them to charge it to me?
