Hi,

Recently bought L405 SDV8 2018 but it hasn’t come with a remote for FBH. I have checked Ebay for one but all show the old type, I’ve watched few YouTube video and they mention that these new L405 has the remote with Fan sign on the ON buttons instead of the old one with ‘ON’.


So question is does the old type remote work on these facelift cars?

2nd question does anyone have any spare one that they would like to sell? (Please PM me)

is it possible to use these with the Webasto app on a phone? I cant quite access to QR code on the side of the heater unit as there are wires in the way and its an awkward angle, I tried putting in a serial number that is next to it but nowt happens. First time FFRR owner

Earlier L405's were fitted with Eberspacher units, the remotes are not cross-compatible.
I'm not sure the app will work as phones cannot broadcast on the remote control frequency - unless the receiver has a Bluetooth receiver built-in?

mine is def webasto, I can see that on the sticker, that will explain why the fob doesnt work.

the remote app starts the main engine, (it did on mine before the immobiliser was fitted) not the FBH, if you can steer me to where it starts the FBH I'd be a happy man  First time FFRR owner

My car is a 2016 so it could be different.
