Got my car back from panel beaters after almost 3 months.

Realised that one of the rear tyres have flat spots and needs replacement.

Will appreciate advise which of Pirelli or Michelin would be the best to use for mostly road use - size is 275/40/22

Mine sits for two months at a time without moving, gets four flat spots, go for a cruise down the motorway at 60mph and after a few miles they warm up and go round again...

Worth a try....

Personally I like Pirelli's but it's a very personal thing....

I avoid runflats as they are so hard but appreciate you may need some where you are....  Pete

Did a 6000+ kilometre trip and about halfway through someone told me that the left rear wheel was flat. When we removed it we noticed that it seems to have exploded on the inside; when it happened I don’t know as neither did theTPMS give any warning nor did the car feel any different to what it normally drives.

Waited about a week for the tyres to arrive - all the tyre shops I approached did not have any stock and the tyres had to be sent from Johannesburg (about 1100kms from where I was at the time).

The replacement tyres are normal Pirellis instead of the Pirelli run flats that were on the car when I bought it. These tyres transformed the quality of the ride quite drastically although there are still times when the ride can be better.
