I am just wondering if anyone has used Halfords to replace their L405's battery?

I have a 2017 and I am thinking of doing a battery change before the winter and Halfords do a call out fitting and recommended this battery:

I know sod all about this so just wanted to ask any of you clever lot if this would be okay quality wise?

Hi Damian, i've had Halfords Battery in my previous car (Audi Q7) few years ago...they fitted and coded the battery for additional £25. It's been 3yrs and never had any issues with the battery.

Price was cheaper than the leading brands but Halfords offer longer Warranty.

Also, if you have a Trade Card then the price is even better!!

I recently decided to replace the battery on my RRS/L320 and decided to fit a Yuasa.

I specified the Yuasa, tried a few motor factors & the www for supply only then the other fast fit outfits for supply & fit - Halfrauds were cheaper than the lot & that included fitting on my drive.

Halfords batteries are excellent. I can’t remember who make them for Halfords but it’s a reputable manufacturer.

The warranty on them is superb too. If it fails, as long as you’ve got the receipt they’ll replace it there and then. If you know anybody with a trade card the prices are very competitive too. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

I read an Autoexpress review of batteries a few years back and they came out very well, especially their Calcium ones.

Not sure if AGM's were tested, but the review was certainly very favourable of the Halfords branded batteries back then.

Check out Tayna batteries for a good price on quality batteries delivered next day! I'vce found them very good, very cost effective and the batteries are very well packaged.

I have a Halfords trade card so used the discount on the main battery replacement to pay for the delivery and fitting service. All has been well with the battery.

personally i would go for a locally sourced battery..

batterys don't go wrong that often but when they do you'll might have problems getting a mail order battery posted back for a replacement....them letter box gaps aint that big

local purchases can be exchanged easily.. ... - .- -.
