How much is the JLR battery from the MD though?

One bought from Tanya say like Gremlins still has the 5 year warranty some JLR ones might not last that so for items like that, i dont believe its worth it.

As for tyres I see mine once had some fitted and bought from the MDs and the price was good!

I was recently quoted about £1k for both batteries, fitted and coded. Half that at a local indy. First time FFRR owner

JLR manufacture their own batteries?

My original landrover battery had an Exide logo on and the Exide replacement looks identical bar the sticker

I think I remember reading that the OEM JLR batteries are Exide.

However, IMHO so long as you go for a premium brand and same type/capacity, a battery is a battery and also a consumable item, so if you can get a 5-year Warranty at a reasonable price, that’s the one to go for, there’s a lot of t’Interweb “ Smoke & Mirrors” BS about batteries/brake pads/etc. -mainly from folks who sell them! Twisted Evil “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Another thumbs up for the Exide EK950 via “Tanya” Wink

Did mine a few weeks ago.

Don’t forget to switch on service mode in the incontrol app otherwise battery disconnection will get a security alert from LR. 2016 SDV8 AB
