jacking points and suspension

im going to have a bash at finding me annoying noking noise today, ive got a 5 ton bottle jack and 3 ton axle stands.
this is the first time ive jack up the rr what do i do?

im assuming jack up from diff or main chassie ?

what do i do with suspension gearbox ect ?

im thinking leave it in park dont touch low range and lock suspension but could be expensive if im wrong.

cheers scott

On the toolbar under the FFRR website banner there is a section called "Wiki" - have you looked in there as there for the info? 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

FWIW, I follow the basic rules of drop suspension into access height to relieve the pressure in the airbags. Disconnect battery so the car doesn't try to self level. Jack under the suspension arms and put axle stands under the main jacking points.

Also worth noting that is you ever undertake work on the EPB it's a very good idea to disconnect the battery. You really don't want that setting itself when you have fingers in the mechanisms Wink

Go to the wiki, find the download link to the RAVE and read before starting. This is not a 1971 Ford Cortina. Even disconnecting the battery can become an expensive mistake if you don't follow the proper procedure.
