I am currently in my second l322, which I have loved for the last two years, even though it’s spent more time broken down than working, I’ve changed the near side turbo, the offside inlet manifold, all front suspicion arms, one front suspension bag, an alternator and probably a million little things too

In the past two months I’ve had the most confusing problems yet, and never found anyone on any forum that’s had anything similiar, so the symptoms are as follows

Power steering heavier than it should be (in motorway mode)
Wipers don’t work
Climate control doesn’t work (no fans, heated windscreen, heated seats)
Steering wheel controls don’t work
Automatic drive away locking doesn’t work
One touch windows don’t work, although the switches do work

all these symptoms are all caused by the same thing, as every now and again (probably 5% of the time) I’m driving along and everything will begin to work again, but more recently they work/don’t work on and off every two seconds, so the steering will be light two seconds then heavy two seconds then light again, same with the wipers they will move for a second then stop for a second then move for a second then stop for a second

I’ve tried a new battery and also fitted a new alternator since and the problems remain, I’ve fallen out with the car but every now and again (5%of the time) when it works I realise how great these cars are, does anyone at all have any idea of where to look?

Body ground connections (“earths”) corroded?

Just a couple of hopefully helpful guesses……  V6 Vogue - “Less is More” - less to go wrong!

Could there be damage to the fuse box?
The good news is that all these work intermittently so there are no issues with the components themselves.
Also when the fault is presenting, can you read fault codes which might point to something?

Thanks for the ideas guys, the body earths all look good and so does the fuse box, I initially suspected the BCM but after purchasing a new one I found out it wasn’t at fault, although I only plugged it in and quickly tested, not sure if I was supposed to have it coded etc

No fault codes at all unfortunately, I keep checking hoping for something, an engine management light came on the other day and I was actually excited thinking it may give me more information 🤣

I’m desperate to the get the vehicle running perfect as I’m trading up to a 4.4 tdv8 and need this one gone first, ideally I would love to have both as I do love the rawness of the 3.6 and 6 speed box, but the hours of heavy towing I do I feel like the 4.4 and 8 speed is a better fit all round, and also a few years newer, although I use the Range Rover for everything and anything and with a few scratches dotted around I don’t feel as bad doing things like this 🫣

All fixed at last! Faulty ignition switch, when tested between the fuse (40 or 41) was only reading 3.5 volts instead of 12

Excellent news. Onwards and upwards with the 4.4 then…..
