Ivory perforated seat tidy up

My front seats were looking pretty grotty and I was looking for a replacement pair, but like tailgates, they’re not plentiful in good order.

Barmiebrummie convinced me to restore my existing ones, so today I set to work with some leather cleaner and microfibres towels.

Still some way to go and they will need paint, but so far, I’m very pleased with the outcome.

One tip BB gave me, which I’ve used before and forgotten about, was using heat on the creases. This really does a great job of nearly eradicating what look like deep recessed creases. Dirt in them and dye transfer from jeans makes them look a lot worse than they are.

A lot can be achieved with a few hrs elbow grease.

Looking good there already Jonny. Made a lot of difference with the de-creasing and cleaning. Looking forward to seeing the end result after you have dyed them. With your OCD, you'll be very pleased with yourself when it's finished lol and saved you a fair bit of money. It's going to be your long time keeper, make it your own just like you are doing now. I know I've got a fair bit of ivory dye left over, no need for it now. Keep us posted with pics.

Thanksc BB - need to get them scrupulously clean otherwise there will be be a miss match between existing colour and the new dye. One thing I don’t want to lose is the black stitching, so can’t go gung ho on the driver’s seat.
