United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Yes sure @Superspoons:

One big bonus is that your phone connects automatically and your contacts are immediately available on the main screen. It works a treat.

And thanks for the good wishes!

If you decide to get it and need any help fitting it, just let me know. The instructions weren’t clear and the unit is bigger than the old one. When I get my car back from Pegasus later this week I’ll take a photo of my installation. It’s neat even if I say so myself. Des

Apologies for the delayed response! I just took this photo this evening. I sawed the mounting ears off the new unit and mounted it with thick tape.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

I got distracted under a number of different threads on here. FFRR is a great community with plenty of support and advice available for someone like me with bags of enthusiasm and little experience. Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to respond to my posts.

The summary update:

1. Engine/Gearbox servicing, MOT and fitting new side steps were all done by Pegasus Garage in Newington, Kent. Can't fault Jason and his team here. They are LR enthusiasts first and foremost and bring a wealth of experience to the job. They do things properly and charge a fair price. I won't be going anywhere else.

2. Machine polish and nsf wheel arch scratch repair completed by the body shop next door. What a difference that makes....the paintwork looks amazing!

3. New wheel centres (thank you Stuart), LR dust caps, LED interior lights, LED reversing lights, black LED side repeaters and replica Autobiograhy armrest adjusters all done by me and I'm very happy with the results. I was surprised how easy all these upgrades were to fit so if you have any questions about anything on this list, either reply here or send me a pm. I'd be pleased to help and pay forward the help I've been given.

4. Still to do: fit Powerful UK door handle and mirror covers, overhaul suspension compressor, fit all-black high-level brake light, investigate intermittent reversing camera and non-sounding parking sensors, refurb wheels and complete full interior valet incl leather treatment. I have also ordered some Factory Grey paint to see if I can touch in a couple of chips in the centre console cup holder. The compressor overhaul is top of the list as I have the intermittent 'Suspension Fault Normal Height Only' message coming up on the dash. I'll update on that of course.

After buying the car at the end of December, I hardly drove it until the beginning of February. Since then I've driven just over 1,000 trouble-free miles. I'm loving the magic carpet feel to the drive and for the first time yesterday, I trod on the throttle and experienced the power. I have to say, it feels immensely more powerful than it actually is and that put a big grin on my face.

looks like I'm now an FFRR addict.....

Thanks Pete. I aim to catch up with the list of things to do but whether I ever get ahead of it remains to be seen! Appreciate the support. Des
