I’m looking for an L322 3.6 Tdv8,

- Any colour leather EXCEPT black
- Ideally a Vogue SE but would consider a Westminster or Autobiography
- FSH, would be nice to have had preventative maintenance approach with proof
- Needs to be a tidy example
- Mileage preferably not more than 120k, but flexible for the right example

I’m disappointed by dealers adverts promising the world but after driving for hours arriving to find rather scrappy examples, I would really appreciate hearing directly from forum members.

I’m buying this to become mobile again, following the theft of our family car (a non LR product), so I’m ready to move quickly and not mess anyone around.

I’m located in Gloucestershire but very willing to travel.

I’m also on the look out for a RR Vogue SE, pretty sure I’ve seen 3.6 Westminsters in my searches

The run out model Westminster was only the 4.4. I’m now half remembering there was an earlier Westminster with the 3.6 around 2009…. Happy to be corrected….

The last of the 3.6s will have had a DPF, if that’s liable to cause you issues.

Why a 3.6 TDV8 over a 4.4 TDV8?

Hi, there was a limited edition Westminster based on a 3.6 platform around 2009, apparently about 300 were made.

However, unlike the runout version of the L322 2012 models they were not loaded with goodies. For instance no cooled seats or HD stereo, bit lame to be honest, I tink they were just a Vogue. Couple on Autotrader if your interested.

3.6 advantages are a more comfortable ride, both turbos kicking in together as opposed to 4.4 which has sequential twin turbos.

Downside of 3.6 is, difficulty in finding a good one, turbos can let go at random, massive job, apparently £7k and up, engine out job. Pre 2010 gearbox is known to be at the limit of it's capacity, chances are it's had at least 1 new one in it's life, again they just seem to let go. Fuji White / Jet 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

It is a shame you don't want a black one - my car would double-tick every other box for you!
