car (2003er, 4.4L BMW Automatic,Vogue) parks for 6 days and this afternoon I want to start the car to do some shopping....
Nothing happens, battery empty, no displays, no key turning possible....
Okay, connect the battery charger and late in the evening I will try again.

But I suppose, when the engine finally will start, the messages of engine emergency program or air suspension inactive will come... any chance to delete them myself without a Rovacom?

I have to drive home tomorrow over 1000km ....not really nice with inactive suspension XJC, RRV8, Series1 86 and 107% of real pleasure

You shouldnt get inactive EAS or anything from a flat battery, as long as you reset the steering angle sensor by turning the steering wheel full lock to lock everything else should fire up as normal.

Shall I take off the fuse 49 overnight ? 49 is 30amps for nav system - on board computer, monitor and audio system XJC, RRV8, Series1 86 and 107% of real pleasure

If you do find you have a drain it is more than likely the final stage blower resistor.... Does your fan sometimes work and sometimes not work? If so then generally this is your culprit.

BE CAREFULL with the nav, if you unplug it, disconnect the battery or pull the fuse before waiting several (maybe 5) minutes after ign off then you will kill it. So if you charge the battery up, do not disconnect it or anything for 5 minutes.

In this time the NAV Computer is writing to memory and it will get corrupt if it loses power.

I have the car now for only two months and I do not know/have not the experience if the blower works correct.
I hear the blower noise mostly when ignition is off, no key inserted, entering or leaving the car.
All other systems looks like they are working correct, instead of the engine check light under LPG - fault:temperature sensor closed - bank A and bank B too hot because mixture is too poor.
But this will be correct on thursday..

So, started the engine, calibrated the steering wheel and drove around the block for 15 minutes, everything looks fine, as you said - no messages

As your car is 2003 then you may find that your Check Engine Light is caused by a leaking PCV system, see the other post floating around at the moment. You can get all sorts of codes from this.

The blower shouldnt blow when the ignition is off (unless you press "Max A/C" button after shut down for the keep warm function)

Nono, have let deleted the engine check light twice by a LR-dealer, both times same fault in LPG mode: mixture too poor = hotter burning= heats up the heads(happened only while stop and go traffic).

Cosy LPG highway driving with ~ 80/90mph is cool enough and works fine - no engine check light.

Okay, home again, no troubles, no messages..
Only check engine light as usual and at the last 100km the rear wiper. want to sweep and wiper moves 90° down and stops - dead!
At home, tried to put him back by hand under the spoiler but no way....

Try taking out the fuse for the Wipers (refer to manual for correct one) this is generaly the fix for the headlight wipers when they point to the sky and stay there.

Try a combination of doing it with the ign on and off. If all else fails, dissconect the battery - obviously taking note of the precautions.

Fuse 5amps in glove box and 20amps in rear are okay. Wiper doesn´t work and rear washer pump also no noise and no water drop.
So it can be the switch stick at steering wheel or the cable/connectors somewhere. If the rear wiper relay is broken there must be minimum a noise from the washer pump? Am I right?

I didnt say "Check" the fuse - I said to remove it - this resets the Wiper ECU and may solve your problem.

Sometimes the headlight wipers get stuck mid sweep and you have to pull the fuse to reset them. 

For controlling the fuses I removed them, both, and put in new ones. First in clove box and then after insert the new front 5amps the same procedure in the rear with the 20amps......
Front fuse is for the rain sensor, rear fuse for the rear wiper/washer unit

or should I take off all fuses at the same time, the front wiper/washer fuse, the rain sensor fuse and the rear wiper/washer fuse?? XJC, RRV8, Series1 86 and 107% of real pleasure

Take the fuse for the wiper out, then turn the ign on, then off, then put the fuse back in and then ign on again and see if it resets.

If that doesnt work, turn the ign on, take the fuse out, then put it back in and see if that does it with the ign on.

If that doesnt do it, try different combinations of that, so do the above and then turn the rear wiper on etc.

tried different modes, unfortunately without success. Okay, next week I will ask the LR dealer XJC, RRV8, Series1 86 and 107% of real pleasure
