Key fob programming

An exhausted topic, I'm sure, but only found threads with no conclusion.

I can programme both key fobs, but when I programme one, the other doesn't work and so it goes on, with only one working at a time.

Doesn't appear to be a timing thing, i.e. doing the reprogramme quickly doesn't help.

Any ideas please?

Thank you!

With apologies, not sure why it hadn't updated, hopefully it has now.

It's a 2008 TDV8 - it's the three button key fob (same as D3 of the same era).

Thanks in advance.

From your post, I believe you are talking about synching not programming. Two different things.
Stand to be corrected.

If so :
You know NOT to put the second or third key into the ignition when doing the sequence.? It sounds as if you are putting each key in turn into the ignition which has the effect of restarting the procedure??

i.e. Put the first key in the ignition and do the synching process, then, without putting the second key in the ignition, do the synching process on it, same for third key.

At end of synching try the keys
Hope that helps.
Apologies if Iā€™ ve got it wrong. Embarassed John

Ah, OK. Yes, I was putting each key in the ignition.

Makes sense, will try again tomorrow. Many thanks! šŸ˜

Thanks Weegie - worked first time! Both keys now fully functional.

Much appreciated.
