Vibration concern - is it me?

I’ve recently taken ownership of a 2019 SDV8 AB and I’m feeling vibration at all speeds including idle. I can best describe it as a tingling vibration which I can feel through the steering wheel and pedals. At first I thought it was just because I’d come from 3 years with a petrol engined new Defender and it was just the standard diesel characteristic. However, I don’t recall having the same sensation when I had a 2013 SDV8 L405 prior to my time with a new Defender.

The car was purchased from a main dealer with 2 years warranty. It has completed 63,000 miles with one previous owner and full service history.

I’d welcome any thoughts from the forum before I engage the dealership. 2019 L405 SDV8 Autobiography

Have you got noise reduction tyres ? If there has been a puncture the tyre depot removes part of the foam and sticks it back - this can come loose causing vibration, or a buckled wheel, lost wheel weight or a drive shaft bearing on the way out. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

If it's happening at idle then probably not tyres. Maybe engine mounts? Only Range Rovers since 1988

Can only be engine mounts, surely?

But how to check them? Other than by renewal & test drive Laughing Whistle “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Of course they can be tested. They are vacuum controlled so you can apply a vacuum and see if it holds.

Looks like an engine mount problem seems to be the most likely given I have the issue at idle.

Related possibly but I found my L322 to be quite vibration-y at idle and generally unrefined. (4.4tdv8)

I noticed some squeal a month later from aux belt, had tensioners/pulleys and belt replaced and it cured the vibration. This was around the 70k mark. I note my current SDV8 is also fairly harsh vibration wise (65k) and plan to change these in the summer

There are some reports in various road tests that the V8 is more course than the v6, from a NVH pov so perhaps it’s just perception?
