Blind Spot Assist retrofit help please!

It occurred to me it would be nice if the blind spot assist lights in my mirrors actually did something. So have just installed a pair of blind spot sensors purchased on eBay and coded with the IID tool. Sadly the only thing I’ve achieved is ‘Blind Spot System not available’ on the dash.

No faults codes shown on IID tool.

Can anyone offer any ideas or solutions please?

Are you sure you have the blind spot monitoring lights in the mirrors? If so, are they connected?

I'm only asking as the cars with and without blind spot monitoring had different mirror glasses fitted to them.

Thanks for the thoughts. I’m sure I’ve got the right mirrors, with the little symbols, it’s what made me want to do this.

Just took the door card off and everything seems connected. Checked fuse no.3 in the boot, but nothing, this one’s got me stumped…..

Apologies if I am reading this wrong but are you expecting to being able to enable blindspot monitoring based on having the right mirrors?
Do you also have the blindspot monitors fitted? 2011 L322 Autobography - a lot of bells and some of the whistles...owner with no idea!

Mirrors fitted from new, I’ve just added blind spot sensors behind rear bumper and activated with IId tool. I thought that would be it but seems there’s more to be done…..

found this on another site and it seems you have done all the necessary but need the full CCF on the iID tool to enable side object detection?

Thanks Paul, much appreciated, I’ve got the full IId access. Can only think the sensors are wrong as I believe there are two different engineering numbers for the sensors, maybe early and late. Just seems odd to have no fault codes or any lights illuminated on the mirrors.
