Help please on rear shocks?

My Rear shocks are leaking on a 2011 Range Rover Vogue my problem is I have found two that fit my car bothe say air suspention but one says : for vehicles with electronic suspension control the other : for vehicles without electronic suspension control I thought they all had electronic contro;to lift or lower.
I expect i'm just stupi and missing something.

Leaking is not an indication they need changing and there was a service note about this. Change them if the rear end is bouncy and it's unstable in corners. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

It's probably referring to adaptive ride control, i.e. ride softens or stiffens depending on road conditions.

Look at your front shock tower mounting, if it has a module that looks like a hockey puck with wires coming out of it on top you have active ride control, if not you don't is how I reckon.

Look it up on google or in the wiki here for more details

Thanks JayGee.

So under under the front wing and look for wires around top of the shock? Andy
They have't failed just advisories and ride seems fine.

NoNo, it's the top shock mount inside the engine bay. If you have on the front, you'll have all round.

I looked for a picture online but can't see any. Basically 2 wires going down into the shock inner from the top.

It's a 2011 so you will have adaptive dampers. My rear shocks have been damp / leaking for the last 2+ years but they still perform well enough. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

You will have them mate, adaptive dynamics is standard on 4.4 TDV8.

As above, some misting is normal, it will need to be a very obvious leak to change.

Put Bilstein on mine a couple of years ago, as have others… no issues.

Most places label them CVD shocks… Continuously Variable Dampers.

OK, so you've won the expensive option Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

I don't knowwhat would be a good price for these, but as mentioned, light leaking isn't really a concern unless it's excessive.

I think there's a few threads about in here that dicuss in some detail.
