No central locking

Hello,

Not a new topic for some, but currently frustrated with no solution.

Quick summary, interior light flattened battery and jump started no problem. Used the car for day then it wouldn't lock from the buttons on the key. At this point I noticed that only the driver's door had unlocked when it wouldn't start. I could pop the upper tailgate with the buttons.

Assuming the key battery must have been failing I replaced it. No change, so started looking at the forums. Flat battery giving various issues.

Disconnected the car battery - same
Tried programming/pairing key - lost the boot pop. Thin wire attached to the manual release
Found the central locking button on the dash does not work either.
Could the car be in transportation mode - plugged in INPA (2003 TD6) and I could activate and delivery-active so OK?
Disconnected the battery for longer and touched the wires together - same

Any suggestions about where to go next much appreciated!
Thanks

Do you have 2 keys ?

I had the same problem on my 2004, the small PCB inside the key fob and connections looked like they needed an overhaul/service, and the outside buttons on the key were all shagged, I had to send it off to Remotefobcentre, it cost me £48 quid including delivery, and they sent me back a new key but with the internals cleaned and serviced and a new battery, works like new again - fast turnaround as well, 3 days, no affiliation just a happy customer !

Hello,

Thanks for replying

Unfortunately the car only came with one key when we got it about 6 years ago. I can speak to them about turnaround if I send off my one and only key......

My other concern was the BCU again there are people that can repair these.

Light comes on on the key when the buttons are pressed. None of the pairing/programming instructions mention what the light should do, steady, slow flash, fast flash.

Thanks

Walk round the back of the car and try the key, aerial is at back of car.
It may work, it may not. Thumbs Up

No luck with the key, at the back, front, head height, count to 13, nothing has worked. As I can't operate the locking with the dash button, then perhaps the starting point is elsewhere.

Back to Transportation mode. Using icarsoft no fault but in transportation mode. How do I clear this?

Thanks
