Dashboard plus other light are dead 😞

Dear folks,
My L322 2007 3.6tdv8 is given some headache, the dashboard lights, terrain control lights, heating control lights and the door ambilights are off, so almost complete dark 😞. The steering wheel and some other lights still on... the mechanic had there another car same year, same engine and try out the following modules without sucess: - light module that is located under the seat, checked all fuses and also the fuse box and at the end the light control switch. Do somebody have any idea what this could be ?
Thanks a lot for your time and support
Wish you a nice week end

Hi, firstly I would try a hard reset by disconnecting the battery and touching the 2 leads together after about 15 minutes to ensure everything has shut down. This can often clear spurious system errors.
Also check the light control module (LCM) is dry. Even without windscreen or sunroof drain leaks in this area I've found condensation can sometimes cause problems here. Disconnect the module leads and check the contacts are clean, dry and free from any corrosion. The LCM is located inside the footwell panel under the right side A pillar. The Body control module which takes signals from the LCM is the unit under the seat.
Good luck!
