Changing the rear shocks was very easy. Old ones seemed as stiff as the new ones when pressing both down together so likley they would have been fine left alone. The rear bags looked in good condition and didn't have visible deterioration of the rubber so left them alone. Just driven a few miles localy and to be honest I can't realy feel any difference. Feels nice having confidence in the air suspension at long last.

The rear air bags don't seem to suffer like the front's do. Never had to change a rear one in 16 years of L322 ownership. Changed a few front's though...

That's reasuring. The height sensor I took off and replaced was very stiff to the point where it must have been bending the attachment arm and not feeding back very accurate data so may check the others. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

After more time driving it in different road types and speeds etc I'd say the new shocks are a noticable improvement in terms of body control (Less pitching forwards under braking, less roll in corners and a firmer and tighter ride quality) but I'm not sure the cost is worth the improvement. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
