Key Fob Unlocking

I have an issue when trying to unlock my 2008 Vogue, in that I have to press the fob numerous times and wait between presses before it decides to unlock. If I press the tailgate unlock button, it unlocks immediately. I feel sure it can't be the battery in the Fob as it locks first time, every time and as mentioned, the tailgate always opens. Any ideas what could be causing this would be appreciated. Very Happy

the fob is worn...whats it like with the spare key.. ... - .- -.

Hi Stan, Thanks for responding. Yes, the fob is pretty well worn, but sadly it's the only one I've got !

if it is the fob then they are very easy to replace...use the forum search to get some info... ... - .- -.
